Making South Carolina More Beautiful

My name is Jamie Nelson and it is an honor to have been nominated and elected to serve as the President for our South Carolina Litter Association. I have witnessed first hand the many accomplishments of our past Presidents and I understand that it is up to me and the standing board to keep the Association moving forward in our fight in preserving the beauty of this great state. I have complete trust in the elected board members as these individuals are dedicated, energized, and willing to step forward to accomplish our mission. Yet, without input and assistance from all SCLCA members the current board is limited in our production.

I want to express heartfelt gratitude to all Legislators, County and City Council Members, Magistrates, Sheriffs and Chiefs, the PalmettoPride organization along with it's current Board, all South Carolina affiliates of Keep a America Beautiful, and each School Administrator, Teacher, Adopt A Road volunteer, and citizen for the efforts each of you do to assist with the reduction of litter in our State.

Simple task such as allowing anti-littering color books to be passed out in schools, taking part in Earth Day celebrations. The various law enforcement entities statewide and the efforts each one makes to issue citations for littering violations. All local court systems which follow thru with the convictions for those crimes.

I just wanted to take moment and say (Thank you) and let each of you know someone is watching and taking notice.

I would like to end by saying that I will continue my efforts in litter reduction. I will continue issuing citations to those individuals which choose to litter our State. I only ask that each of you keep doing your part either through education, awareness, enforcement or pickups to keep our state Litter free. Thank you, Your President Lt. Jamie Nelson
