South Carolina Litter Control Association President --------- Ryan Lesesne
It is with great pleasure that I am afforded the opportunity to serve as your President of the South Carolina Litter Control Association. Our past Presidents such as Randy Fisher, Don Arnold, Rodney Cooper, Richard Turner, and others have made our Association one of the finest organizations I have ever had the privilege to be a part of. I truly look forward to serving this great Association for the next 2 years. The Board of Directors and myself are here to assist you in anyway possible. However, the Board and myself cannot do it without your help. We need your help and input. The SCLCA and Palmetto Pride have teamed up with many state, county, and municipal agencies to ensure that this year's Zero Tolerance for Litter Campaign is a success. However, with out the help of all who have a vested interest in preserving the great beauty of our state, we will not achieve our desired results. I challenge everyone who reads this to become involved. We are a growing organization with deep roots, and I encourage everyone to stay involved and provide us the nutrients that we need. Those nutrients are simple for you to provide. We want input from you, the members, on what you would like to see at next year's conference. If you know of a great speaker/topic, please contact your Regional Director or any Board member. I would be remiss if I did I not offer my gratitude for the efforts of the entire staff at Palmetto Pride for their support. A special thanks to Sherryl Jenkins for the never ending contributions that she provides to ensure that our organization continues to grow. Everyone at this year's conference had the opportunity to meet one of the best "behind the scenes" individuals who joined our Association many years ago, Tom Fore. Tom does an excellent job as our Sec./Treasurer and he is definitely an asset to our Association. Thanks to every person involved in our fight against litter. It takes everyone to win this fight, but it can be won. However, we must be ever vigilant in this fight and it is a never ending battle. Yet if we continue, we will see the fruits of our labor. Thanks to all and please be safe!
