Making South Carolina More Beautiful

On March 27, 2010 Manchester State Forest had a Litter pick up day from 8 am to 12 noon to clean up trash dumped on the forest. The volunteers were from the Sumter community, Shaw Air Base, Sumter County Public Works, Clemson Extension and staff from Manchester State Forest totaling 45 people.  These individuals working together picked up a total of 39.73 tons of trash from the forest and at the end of the work day
